Grounded- mentally and emotionally stable, admirably sensible , realistic and unpretentious, well balanced
Well Balanced is the Goal of this experience. With everything going on in the World Around us and in our own lives , we can get unravelled and unfocused. This is when we must "Take the Time to Take the Time" and restore our Balance in Our Lives and Free ourselves from frivolous fears. This Why Yoga House Houston is the perfect place to begin this Restoration.
No Chairs, No Shoes will be allowed in the Main Room of the Venue. Dress Casual and Comfortable, bring your Pillows, Bean Bags Etc and prepare to be Grounded and Inspired through the Art form we call POETRY!!!

The Tony, Peabody & Emmy Award winning, 6 time HBO Def Poet Black Ice is credited
with being a major pioneer of this millennium in turning spoken word into a mainstream
art form. Bringing to life a quote by business mogul & yogi Russell Simmons, “When I
saw Black Ice, I knew the world was ready for poetry.” His work is utilized in high
school curricula to course studies at the academically acclaimed Ivy League Universities,
Harvard and Columbia. With no signs of slowing down, Black Ice brought the audience
of The Arsenio Hall Show to their feet, in the most reaired episode of the 2014 season.
TV One utilized his legendary spoken word status for their online weekly reviews of
each episode of season 2 & 3 of Lexus present Verses and Flow, culminating in a
featured appearance in this past September’s season 4 episode 4.
Black Ice has toured with The Roots, Floetry, Musiq, Mary J. Blige & Def Poetry on
Broadway. Recognizing his talent, many world renowned musicians like Nas, Fabolous
& Kendrick Lamar to name a few, have had Black Ice appear on their platinum selling
albums. He blew the 1million plus crowd away at the LIVE 8 WORLD CONCERT and
inspired an overwhelming ovation from the ½ million people attending the "One Nation
Rally". The only poet EVER, to be featured on BET's Rap City, or to receive the
"hiphop quotable" in The Source Magazine.
He has voiced national advertising spots for MercedesBenz, Honda, Heineken, Phat
Farm and Courvoisier. Black Ice is also the exclusive voiceover artist for the audio

A spoken word artist, poet, entrepreneur, photographer, professional stylist and mother, the talented creative vision of ChloeJames flows through each word of this 18 track record. Completed in late 2013, she has since released 9 singles, with 2 new tracks from other artist' projects. She is determined to make a name for herself as a writer and artist, not 100% favoring the limelight, she has hosted open mic nights, delivering heartfelt poems to private and public events, as well as released her new music to the general population. With a musical background, she owes her inspirational qualities to the likes of musical artists such as Eve, Jill Scott, Too Short, Eazy E, 2Pac, Bggie, and Erykah Badu. Her love for hip hop stems back to the days of Run DMC, LL COOL J and Kool Moe Dee, who she pays homage in one of her songs. Everything about her exudes talent unlike no other.
Produced by Nigerian Supreme Squad (N.S.S.) CEO, KingBizhop in Houston, Texas and it took her nearly three months to complete, from start to finish. Writing has been her way of life since the age of 9 and since she has written hundreds to thousands of pieces of poetry. Her readiness and eagerness to get into the business makes it all the more exciting and the opportunity of a lifetime. She looks forward to collaborative projects with new and upcoming underground artists, where she has set her focus on remaining as an Indie Artist (at least for now).
